There have been other Katrina documentaries most notably Spike Lee's When the Levee's Broke but most have dealt with the aftermath of Katrina. The film Trouble the waters follows a couple DURING Katrina as it was actually happening.  

Trouble the Water, winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, tells the story of an aspiring rap artist and her husband trapped in New Orleans by the hurricane and its deadly floods.
