I am proud to say that I have noticed that the African Amercian communities are starting to follow through on being more active.
I said starting because we have all heard it before, exercise, eat clean, drink in moderation but it seemed only a few of us listened. I have changed my eating pattern for the past 2 years and now I'm starting to notice the foods that used to be reguarly available are now always gone.
Ground Turkey used to be stacked pile high in my grocery store, but in today's time it seems I'm just getting there in time to get a pack. I notice more blacks in the produce section with me now, wishing each other to hurry up, for I want tomatoes too!
At first I complained but a recent study proved to me that African Americans almost lead in every killer disease known. We should be the top advocates of health since we are the top advocates of death.
I must admit I have grown seriously health conscious since I almost lost my eye to some sort of pseudo tumor. But it does feel good to see more peole regardless of color choosing to live a more healthier lifestyle.
